July 14, 2010: SKETCH LAB AUDITIONS
The Playground Theater in conjunction with GRAFITTI PRODUCTIONS is proud to announce THE SKETCH LAB. THE SKETCH LAB is an 8 week sketch comedy writing LAB. The 6 -8 person lab will be lead by Playground President and Grafitti Producer Matt Barbera. Throughout the program guest comedy writers will be brought in to discuss comedy writing with THE LAB. Every week LAB members will receive a sketch comedy writing assignment. At the following weeks lab the scene will be discussed and put on its feet by other members of the lab. Auditions for THE SKETCH LAB will be held Saturday July 24th. The audition will consist of an improv / storytelling component and 2 writing sample. When you sign up for the audition you will be given a suggestion / concept for one of your written scene. The Sketch Lab participants will end up with a sketch comedy show performed at Grafitti.
