June 14, 2009: TBS Just For Laughs Tickets June 19-20
The Playground is proud to be a venue for the 2009 Chicago Just For Laughs Festival. The festival will be held in Chicago the week of June 17th and be held at various venues throughout the city.

The Playground stage will be the location for:
ALONE on Friday June 19th at 8pm. Alone is a showcase of Solo Sketch Comedy Performers Jet Eveleth, Paul Thomas, Nicky margolis, Paul Brittain, Nancy Friedrich, Brooke Bagnall, Jeff Madden and Wendy Mateo

JFL Improv showcase at 10:30 pm on June 19th featuring The Blog report, Chuckle Sandwich and American Dream.

A Very Special Don't Spit The Water on Saturday June 20th at 8 and 10:30. The return of Chicago's premiere crazy live game show will adorn the Playground and JFL stage.

January 5, 2009: IMPROVISERS STUDIO
The Playgroground has implements a new program called THE IMPROVISERS STUDIO. The Improvisers Studio will be a bi-weekly class taught by member of the Chicago Improv Community.lCasses and instructors will vary from session to session but one thing will remain constant.. Classes are FREE. Classes will require people to pre-register to attend. Classes will be available for Playgrounders and non-Playgrounders alike. if you are interested in teaching a class, or are interested in learning about the upocoming classes email improvisersstudio@the-playground.com.
